Why rope access is the right method for corrosion control
Corrosion concentrates in the worst places to reach: under decks, behind splash zones, on inboard tank legs, around flange bolts and inside structural members. Scaffolding rarely fits, MEWPs can’t reach and platform shutdowns are eye-wateringly expensive.
Rope access lets a small, highly trained team transit to the affected zone, work directly on the defect and demobilise without disturbing live operations. For operators, that means faster turnarounds, lower access costs and the ability to catch corrosion before it drives a shutdown.

- Surface preparation: hand and power tool cleaning, needle gun work, abrasive blasting and wet abrasive blasting.
- Rust and scale removal: mechanical and chemical removal from primary steel, secondary steel, pipework and structural members.
- Protective coating application: primer, intermediate and top coats from major manufacturers applied to manufacturer spec.
