Working around production, not against it
The technical work is only half the job on a live asset. The other half is fitting into your permit system, your shift pattern and your shutdown window.
Our teams work to the operator’s safety management system. That means permits raised before mobilisation, daily toolbox talks, atmospheric monitoring where required, and a supervisor with stop-work authority on every job. We plan rigging so that walkways, escape routes and lifting operations stay clear.
Where a task genuinely needs a production pause, we tell you at survey stage rather than on the day.
Certified for the trade as well as the rope
Every technician on an industrial project holds an IRATA qualification and the trade certification relevant to their scope — coding for welders, competency cards for electrical work, confined space entry and rescue training where the asset requires it. Teams are supervised on site by an IRATA Level 3.
RAIL holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, and is a Constructionline Gold member, CHAS accredited and SafeContractor approved.
Reporting you can act on
Every project closes with a written report: what was inspected, what was found, what was repaired, and photographs before and after. Where we find something outside the agreed scope, it goes in the report with a recommendation and an indication of urgency.
Asset managers use these reports to build the following year’s maintenance budget. That is the intention — the report should be useful long after our team has left the site.
Plan your next maintenance campaign with RAIL
Whether you need a single high-level repair, an inspection campaign across a platform, or a full multi-week shutdown package, our team will design the access plan and deliver the works to the programme.
Industrial maintenance rarely runs alone. We frequently combine it with corrosion removal and prevention on the same mobilisation, so you only pay to set up once.
