Cladding removal at height creates two main risks: falling material and unauthorised debris escape. RAIL plans for both.
Every removal sequence starts with a written risk assessment and method statement, plus a defined drop zone with hard barriers, banksmen and signage at ground level. Panels are lowered in controlled sequence using rope-rigged lifting systems, bagged or sheeted where necessary and removed from site to licensed waste streams.
For ACM and other regulated waste, we provide the consignment notes and chain-of-custody records your remediation case requires.
Aligned with cladding installation and remediation
Cladding removal almost never runs in isolation. It’s usually one stage in a wider remediation programme that also includes substrate inspection, fire-stop renewal and new panel install.

Safety, compliance and documentation
Every RAIL technician on a cladding removal is IRATA certified, supervised on site by an IRATA Level 3 and working under a written risk assessment and method statement.
We work to current Building Safety Act, BS 8000 and HSE standards, and we supply the photographic records, removal logs and waste documentation your warranty provider, insurer and building safety regulator need.
