Rope Access Waterproofing Services
Water is the single most destructive force a building has to deal with. By the time damp shows up inside a flat or office, the external defect that’s been driving it has often been active for months.
Cracked render, perished mastic, failed flashings, blocked outlets, and missing copings are issues you cannot ignore.
At RAIL, we waterproof, seal and weather-protect building envelopes at height using rope access techniques.
Why rope access is the right method for waterproofing
Waterproofing defects almost always concentrate at the junctions. Wrapping the whole elevation in scaffold to reach 30 m of perished mastic is wasteful.
Rope access lets us go straight to the defect, fix it properly and demobilise the same day. For reactive leak chasing in particular, the speed of mobilisation is critical — every day a leak runs is more internal damage and more cost.
What our rope access waterproofing service covers
RAIL’s waterproofing teams routinely handle:
- Mastic and sealant renewal: replacing perished silicone, polysulphide and polyurethane joints on glazing, cladding and curtain walls.
- Parapet, coping and flashing repairs: fixing the high-level details that drive most internal damp.
- Liquid-applied waterproofing: cold-applied membrane systems on flat roofs, gutters and complex detailing.
- Crack sealing and injection: fixing cracked render, concrete and masonry from the outside in.
- Leak investigation and chasing: finding the external entry point behind an internal damp problem.
- Cladding and brickwork weather-sealing: restoring the building envelope to a known watertight state.
For social landlords, this work also forms part of our Awaab’s Law response, where rapid investigation and remedy of high-level damp defects is now a statutory expectation.
