Inspection Types We Cover
Our surveying services cover a wide range of inspection types. These include:
- planned preventative maintenance inspections carried out on a cyclical basis
- pre-acquisition condition surveys for purchasers and investors
- defect investigations to diagnose the cause of water ingress or material failure
- facade safety inspections to assess the risk of falling debris
- post-construction snagging surveys for new developments
We also support clients who need to comply with Section 9 and Section 11 obligations, building warranty requirements, and local authority enforcement notices relating to dangerous structures.
Hands-On Access That Remote Methods Cannot Match
The rope access approach offers decisive advantages over alternative survey methods.
Scaffolding provides a stable platform but is expensive, slow to erect, and impractical for a survey that may only require access to specific locations across a large facade.
Mechanical platforms and drones each have their own limitations in terms of reach, proximity, and the ability to carry out physical testing such as hammer tapping, pull-off adhesion tests, and moisture readings.
Rope access allows the surveyor to move freely across the entire building elevation, stopping wherever closer examination is warranted, and to carry out hands-on tests that remote methods simply cannot replicate.
Timely and accurate survey data is the foundation of cost-effective building maintenance. By identifying problems early, property owners can plan and budget for targeted repairs rather than facing unexpected large-scale remedial works.
