The survey comes first
RAIL’s technicians inspect brickwork at arm’s length rather than through a lens. That is where the difference between surface staining and active deterioration becomes clear.
You receive a written report with photographs, a schedule of the affected areas, an explanation of the likely cause and a recommendation with an indication of urgency. That report is what the quote is built from, and it is a document you can use for budgeting or hand to a surveyor.
One mobilisation, several jobs
Brick problems rarely arrive alone. Perished pointing normally appears alongside blocked rainwater goods, failed mastic around windows and biological growth on parapets — all of them caused by the same water.
Because our teams are already rigged on the elevation, we combine brick works with gutter and downpipe cleaning, window maintenance and roof works in a single visit. You pay to set up once, and the building comes back as a properly maintained envelope rather than a series of patches.
Access without scaffolding
Brick defects concentrate in specific zones — parapets, window heads, chimney stacks, weather-facing elevations and anywhere below a leaking rainwater pipe. Wrapping a whole building in scaffold to repair a fraction of its surface is disproportionate.
Rope access gives our teams safe access at height directly to the affected areas. We rig, work the elevation in sequence and demobilise, with no scaffold on the pavement and minimal disruption to the people living and working inside.
All RAIL technicians are IRATA certified and work under a written risk assessment and method statement, with catch sheets and exclusion zones at ground level.
